Agreement

By using Tapture, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Tapture is developed by Elie Chahine.

What Tapture Provides

Tapture is an app for iPhone and Android that lets you save anything you can share from another app, such as videos, links, photos, screenshots, places and text, plus voice notes and notes you make in Tapture. With your permission, Tapture uses AI (powered by OpenAI) to analyze your saves: naming them, extracting text and details, and suggesting a next step. Signing in, analysis, syncing and backup need an internet connection.

Your Account

  • You sign in with Apple on iPhone, or with Google on Android.
  • You are responsible for keeping access to that Apple or Google account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
  • You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app: open Profile, tap your account, then Delete account.

Your Content

You own the content you save to Tapture. We do not claim ownership of your photos, screenshots, links, recordings or notes. We process your content only to provide the service, and sending it to our AI services for analysis happens only after you have given permission in the app. You can withdraw that permission in Profile, Preferences, AI analysis at any time.

You agree not to use Tapture to:

  • Store or distribute illegal content
  • Violate the rights of others
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or abuse the service
  • Circumvent any usage limits or security measures

AI Processing

Once you have given permission, Tapture uses OpenAI's API to analyze your saves. This means your photos, screenshots, links and the text of those pages, notes and voice recordings are sent to OpenAI for processing. See our Privacy Policy for every company that can receive your content and what each one gets.

AI-generated titles, summaries, extracted details and suggestions are provided "as is." We do not guarantee their accuracy. You should not rely on AI analysis for critical decisions.

Subscriptions and Free Trial

  • Tapture is a subscription. Tapture Pro is billed yearly or monthly through the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android, at the price shown in the app before you buy.
  • New subscribers can start with a 14-day free trial. The trial includes AI analysis for up to 200 saves.
  • When the trial ends, your subscription starts and renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Payments, refunds and billing questions are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms. Refund requests should be made to them.
  • To keep the service sustainable, AI analysis has fair-use limits; with Pro it currently covers up to 300 saves a month. Saves are kept in your library even when a limit is reached, or when you are not subscribed; analysis waits until it is available again.
  • If we change the price, Apple or Google will tell you before it applies to you, as their rules require.

Service Availability

We aim to keep Tapture available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. We are not liable for any loss caused by service downtime.

Limitation of Liability

Tapture is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using Tapture at any time by deleting your account in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If your account is terminated, your data will be deleted.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of Tapture after changes means you accept the updated terms.
